CASE STUDY

TALISMAN ENERGY – WILLISTON WATER PIPELINE, HUDSON’S HOPE, BC. ENVIRONMENTAL INSPECTION OF  PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION

Eco-Web completed the background environmental work assessments including scouting, stream surveys, wildlife surveys, bird surveys and prepared an Environmental Protection Plan for the construction of this 28 km water line from Williston Lake to Talisman’s operations in Altares.  Eco-Web provided the Environmental Inspector and Turbidity monitors for the construction phase of the project.

SPECTRA ENERGY TRANSMISSION – CONNECTOR PIPELING – WONOWON, BC. ENVIRONMENTAL INSPECTION

Eco-Web provided pre-project planning and environmental services centered on the Environmental Inspection of this NEB Regulated line in northeastern BC.  Project duties included ensuring the Environmental Protection Plan was followed by the contractor, monitoring the horizontal directional drills, monitoring wildlife along the right of way with the assistance of representatives from the Blueberry River First Nation, waste management and reclamation of the right of way.  Eco-Web worked with the inspection team and Spectra’s engineers to ensure a successful completion of the project. One example of a successful biodiversity enhancement project on this job was the relocation of a red tailed hawk nest (currently has a mating pair in it after being relocated).
